Who are you, and what are your ties to St. Bernard?
“I have been a lifelong member of the St. Bernard community, where my family has laid its roots. I proudly graduated from St. Clement School in 2013 and Roger Bacon High School in 2017. Growing up in St. Bernard, I have developed a deep passion for our community. I am dedicated to enhancing the St. Bernard community. I am wholeheartedly committed to improving the live in St. Bernard in any way that I can.”
What is your favorite place in St. Bernard?
“My favorite place to go in St. Bernard would have to be our local Dairy Queen. Living just down the street, it was always my favorite place to go with my friends after school on a nice sunny day. Their opening day of March 1st is almost like an unofficial holiday in our town that everyone looks forward to so much!”
Why are you running?
“I’m running for St. Bernard Village Council because I believe it’s time for fresh, innovative leadership. I’m eager to bring new ideas and perspectives to the council, focusing on issues that matter most to our residents. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics and currently pursuing my master’s degree in public administration from the University of Cincinnati, my education has given me the knowledge and skills to address both the health and administrative needs of our community.”
What do you consider to be your most impactful contribution to the community so far?
“I believe my most impactful contributions to our community have been dedicating my time and energy to volunteer work, contributing to events such as the St. Clement festival and the German Luau. Additionally, for the past nine summers, I’ve been a seasonal employee at the St. Bernard Service Department where I’ve been able to contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of our community.”
What are three goals you hope to achieve if elected?
“I’ve divided my platform into three sections:
- Improve community engagement and communication.
- Prioritize the maintenance and improvement of essential infrastructure and focus on public safety which includes supporting our local service, police, and fire departments.
- Develop plans for sustainable economic development through local business support.”
What is the most important issue facing St. Bernard in the coming years, and how do you plan to address it?
“The most important issue our community faces is the need for economic growth and development. My plan is to support and empower local businesses, stimulating economic expansion and the creation of job opportunities. I am dedicated to assisting in the creation of sustainable economic development strategies, such as attracting new businesses and industries to our community. These efforts will not only enhance our town’s revenue but also celebrate and preserve our local culture and heritage.”
Is there anything else people should know about you?
“If elected, I’m eager to get to work right away to help improve our community. So please join me in shaping the future of St. Bernard. Together, we can create positive change that benefits the entire community. As the saying goes, “It Take a Village” so let’s make St. Bernard a town we are even more proud to call home!”
